The Colorado Avalanche official game puck has been personally autographed by autographed by Avalanche Centermen Nathan MacKinnon. MacKinnon began his NHL career when he was drafted first overall in the 2013 NHL Draft by Colorado. On October 2nd 2013, MacKinnon made his NHL debut with the Avalanche becoming the youngest player in franchise history at just 18. He would pick up two assists that led to a 6-1 victory over the Anaheim Ducks. At the end of his rookie season, he finished with 39 assists and 24 goals, for a total of 63 points, the most for a rookie in that season. In that season, Mackinnon was awarded the Calder Trophy as the league's top rookie, becoming the youngest player to win the award. Since his season debut Mackinnon helped lead the Colorado Avalanche back to the Stanley Cup playoffs in the 2017-2018 season. In the same season, MacKinnon was a finalist for the Hart Trophy finishing fifth in the league with 97 points.
