This white NHL ‘Team Staal’ Reebok Mike Green jersey comes hand-signed & comes game-used by the Washington Capitals All-Star. The 2011 All-Star Game was played in Raleigh, North Carolina, home of the Carolina Hurricanes. The 2011 Game also introduced a new format, replacing the traditional conference teams with a "fantasy draft" where fans voted for six players, from either conference (three forwards, two defensemen and one goaltender), while the NHL selected another 36 players for a total of 42 players. The chosen players then selected two captains for each All-Star team, who then selected their teammates in a draft. The jersey comes with a Washington Capitals patch as well as a NHL All Star patch on the jersey which has been personally autographed & worn by Mike Green himself. Cardiac Kids is a volunteer group established in 2000 to raise much needed funds for children who are suffering from congenital heart disease. All money directly benefits the children and staff of the cardiology ward at The Hospital for Sick Children.
Cardiac Kids has two main areas of focus: to support activities that improve the emotional, mental and physical well-being of children with heart disease, as well as to support patient care by sponsoring educational and professional development for pediatric cardiology nurses.
