The Best of the Best frame features autographed photos from four of the greatest Penguins players of all time: Mario Lemieux, Jaromir Jagr, Evegeni Malkin and Sidney Crosby. Underneath each photo is a laser etching of their achievements and trophies that they have acquired through their careers. All four of these players have and currently have unbelievable careers achieving similar accomplishments. Below Lemieux’s picture highlights his successes during his time in the NHL. It emphasizes his six Art Ross Trophies, two Conn Smythe Trophies, three Hart Memorial Trophies, four Ted Lindsay Awards, and a Calder Memorial Trophy. While in the league the two-time Stanley Cup Champion recorded 100 or more points in 10 seasons. He was recognized during the 2017 NHL Centennial Season as one of the league’s Top 100 greatest players. Recognized also as one of the Top 100 greatest players was European born player Jaromir Jagr. Jagr achieved much of the same achievements as Lemieux. After spending over 20 seasons in the NHL, Jagr was awarded 5 Art Ross Trophies, 3 Ted Lindsay Awards, a Hart Memorial Trophy and Bill Masterson Memorial Trophy. The two-time Stanley Cup Champion currently still sits second all-time on the NHL points list, influencing European players to accomplish related successes. One active European player to do so is Russian centerman Evgeni Malkin. Drafted second overall by the Penguins in 2004, Malkin has played over 10 seasons in the NHL. Still writing his own story Malkin so far has accumulated various awards including, two Art Ross Trophies, a Ted Lindsay Award, Hart Memorial Trophy and Calder Memorial Trophy. The three-time Stanley Cup Champion continues to be a dominate force within the Penguins organization alongside Captain Sidney Crosby. Drafted first overall in the following year, in 2005, he joined Malkin in attaining countless amounts of hardware. Playing in over 10 seasons, Crosby has already received two Art Ross, Conn Smythe and Hart Memorial Trophies, as well as three Ted Lindsay Awards and two Rocker Richard Trophies. Crosby has led the Penguins organization to three Stanley Cup Championships and continues to dominate the NHL. Although Crosby has not yet finished his career, he was already recognized during the 2017 NHL Centennial Season as one of the league’s Top 100 greatest players.
