This New York Islanders 8x10 photo comes personally signed by New York Islanders 4th overall pick in 1974, Clark Gillies. Gillies spent 14 years in the NHL, winning 4 Stanley Cups in a row from 1980-83. GIllies was named the team captain from 1976-1978. Gillies stepped down as the team`s captain and passed it on to Denis Potvin. During the 1980 playoffs, Gillies adopted an enforcer role in order to maintain the tough Boston lineup. Gillies helped start the Stanley Cup four-peat with his aggressive play style and protector mentality. Gillies was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2002.
